Lord, I Am Hungry, I Cannot Afford Food, Yet I Believe!

Lentera Takjub – Tonight, perhaps your tears fall before an empty table. You look at plates and spoons still clean and dry, and at a kitchen so quiet… no scent of food, no sound of boiling pots.

There is no flame on the stove, no money in the wallet… everything is gone.

And yet, how strong you are.
You are not angry, though you are weary.
Something within you refuses to die, your faith.

In your struggle, you begin to whisper a prayer…

“Lord, I am hungry.
But I still believe You have not closed Your eyes.
You know the ache of an empty stomach.
You know the pain of watching a child softly ask, ‘Mama, what will we eat tonight?’”

You are not angry, only tired.
But even in your weakness, you keep standing,
because deep down, you still believe, God is here.
He is still your faithful Father, even when your pockets are empty and your kitchen is silent.

His Word says,

“Do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink…”
(Matthew 6:25)

And then you remember…
The same God who feeds the birds in the sky,
who clothes the lilies without them asking, will not let you perish in hunger.

You are right…
The Lord once fed five thousand people with only five loaves and two fish.
That miracle still speaks… out of lack, He creates abundance.

So tonight, let us pray together:

In the Name of Jesus, I shall not be in want.
In the Name of Jesus, blessings are already on their way to my home.
In the Name of Jesus, the Lord will provide for every need — right on time.

Because you and I both know…
Every hunger you endure in faith is never wasted before Him.

And for you who read this while your table is full, pause for a moment before your next bite.

Pray for them…
for those staring at empty plates,
for those who go hungry so their children can eat,
for those who whisper prayers in the dark, holding onto their last thread of hope.

Touch them, Lord…
Fill their tables again, and wipe away their tears
with the oil of Your joy. Amen.

Because Jesus is good… even in the ache of hunger, He is already preparing a feast of love.
